Our 2021 Champions for Children

Pittsburgh Child Guidance Foundation (Executive Director, Pamela W. Golden)

Pittsburgh Child Guidance Foundation is committed to making a significant and positive difference in the lives of children who through no fault of their own find themselves in difficult situations that can have a lasting impact on their lives and futures. They have focused on children experiencing homelessness since 2014, adding it as a third initiative. We are grateful for their loyal support and leadership on the issues that are at the heart of our mission. Their Executive Director, Pamela W. Golden, is a partner and friend. She has collaborated with us on many projects impacting youth and has offered guidance and friendship in addition to leading us through the grants process.

Mark R. Gensheimer, President C.S. McKee

Mark Gensheimer is the President of C.S. McKee, a Pittsburgh-based investment management company. He has been a loyal supporter of HCEF and the youth we serve. Growing up in the South Hills and later attending Bucknell University, Mark appreciates the role of a solid and challenging education. His heart for youth has taken many forms over the years, including working with the youth at his church, the Sewickley YMCA, the Holy Family Institute, the Center For Hope in Ambridge and serving as a leader with the Sewickley Valley Community Fund—which has supported youth who face economic, mental health, and developmental challenges. Mark’s passion for our region’s youth has been primarily influenced by his wife and members of his church. As a father of four daughters and a grandfather of four, he and his wife Annie are dedicated to giving children the start and ongoing support they need to succeed. We are grateful for his friendship and support.

Harry J. Soose, Jr.

Harry served as volunteer for many years on committees; then he transitioned to the Board of Directors and is our immediate past Chair.
